More than a basket:

Bringing Comfort to Rural Cancer Patients

Living in a smaller community shapes the way I think about care.

In rural Saskatchewan, families may travel for appointments while also managing work, children and everyday responsibilities. The practical parts of a cancer journey can be demanding, and the emotional weight is different for everyone.

Our foundation began with a desire to bring thoughtful, non-medical comfort to people receiving care. We are grateful for the hospital teams in communities such as Weyburn and Estevan who help us coordinate where bags can be received appropriately.

I believe small communities have a remarkable capacity to look after one another. We may not be able to solve every challenge, but we can build a network of people who choose to show up with kindness and practical support.
