Our Story
The Glen Adnam Cancer Comfort Basket Foundation was created by Glen’s family in the years following his passing in 2019. Drawing on their experiences of grief, caregiving, and community support, they envisioned a way to honour Glen’s kindness and generosity while walking alongside others facing cancer. What began as a simple idea — offering thoughtfully prepared comfort baskets — has grown into a community-supported effort that brings practical care and emotional encouragement to people across Saskatchewan.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide thoughtfully prepared comfort baskets, practical items, and compassionate support to individuals affected by cancer, as well as their caregivers and families, in Saskatchewan. Each basket is a reminder that no one should face cancer alone — that they are seen, valued, and surrounded by community.
Our Directors
Kennedy Tessier
Founder & President
Kennedy Tessier is the daughter of Lyla and Glen Adnam, sister to Bailey, and a devoted mother to three boys and one little girl. A professional photographer since 2018, she uses her creativity to help people feel seen and supported, including through her Cancer Warrior photo sessions in 2021 and 2023, which honoured individuals and families affected by cancer. After Glen’s passing in 2019, Kennedy sought a meaningful way to carry his memory forward. Her experiences with grief, motherhood, photography, and community service led her to establish the Glen Adnam Cancer Comfort Basket Foundation and guide its mission of ensuring no one facing cancer feels forgotten or alone.
Lyla Adnam
Vice-President
An interior designer by trade, Lyla Adnam brings creativity, compassion, and a thoughtful eye to the Foundation. She is a devoted mother to Kennedy and Bailey and was the loving wife of Glen, whose kindness, warmth, and generosity continue to shape her life. For Lyla, the Foundation is a deeply personal way to honour Glen’s memory and transform love and loss into meaningful action. Through every basket prepared and delivered, she hopes recipients feel less alone and more supported by the community that stands beside them.
Bailey Adnam
Secretary & Director
Bailey Adnam is the son of Lyla and Glen, brother to Kennedy, and a proud uncle to her four children. Gentle, kind, and deeply caring, Bailey carries many of the same qualities that made his dad so special, including a quiet strength and genuine concern for others. He holds a diploma in telecommunications, reflecting his intelligence and dedication. As Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors, Bailey plays a meaningful role in carrying forward Glen’s legacy, helping the Foundation offer comfort, kindness, and steady support to individuals and families affected by cancer.
