Who Can Request a Comfort Basket?
We welcome requests from anyone whose life has been touched by cancer. You may request a basket if you are:
- A patient currently undergoing cancer treatment.
- A family member or friend requesting on behalf of a loved one in treatment.
- A caregiver, healthcare professional, or social worker requesting for a patient in your care.
Whether you are asking for yourself or for someone you love, our hope is to offer a gentle reminder that you are seen, cared for, and not alone.
What’s Inside a Comfort Basket?
Each comfort basket is thoughtfully prepared to offer care for both body and spirit. While every basket is unique, it may include:
- Cozy items like blankets, warm socks, or soft accessories.
- Gentle self-care products to encourage rest and relaxation.
- Snacks and soothing teas that are easy to enjoy during treatment days.
- Journals, note cards, or other items that invite reflection and connection.
- Additional comforting touches selected with care by our volunteers.
Contents may vary based on availability, season, and specific needs shared in your request.
How the Request Process Works
We do our best to make the request process simple and gentle during what can already be an overwhelming time.
- Complete the request form below. Share a few details about the person in treatment and any special considerations (such as sensitivities or practical needs).
- Our team reviews each request. Volunteers carefully look at every submission and determine how we can best respond.
- We follow up with you. If we are able to fulfill the request, we will reach out with next steps and timing based on the recipient’s location.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to honor as many requests as we can.
Please note: Submitting a request does not guarantee that we will be able to deliver a basket. Our ability to fulfill each request depends on current inventory, shipping and delivery options in the recipient’s area, and the foundation’s capacity at the time of the request.
