Ways to Support
Every act of kindness big or small helps us deliver comfort, warmth, and hope to cancer patients and their families. Here are the many ways you can make a difference.
Make a One-Time or Monthly Donation
Your financial gift directly funds the comfort baskets we assemble and deliver to cancer patients in treatment. Every dollar goes toward practical, meaningful support, toiletries, snacks, comfort items, and more for people who need it most.
Become a Monthly Supporter
Monthly giving is one of the most powerful ways to support our mission. A recurring gift even $10 or $20 a month means we can plan ahead, build our inventory, and reach more patients consistently throughout the year.
Sponsor a Comfort Basket
For $50, you can fully sponsor one comfort basket for a cancer patient in treatment. Each basket is carefully assembled with thoughtful items to bring a little warmth to a difficult day. You can sponsor a basket in someone’s honour, in memory of a loved one, or simply as an act of kindness.
Purchase Items From Our Wish List
Not sure what to give? Our Amazon Wish List features the exact items we use to fill our comfort baskets. You can purchase directly and have items shipped straight to us no extra steps required.
Business & Corporate Sponsorship
Businesses play a vital role in our ability to grow and serve more patients. Whether you’re a small local business or a larger corporation, there are meaningful ways to align your brand with our mission and give back to your community. Benefits include: logo featured on our website and social media, recognition in our newsletter and at events, and the opportunity to engage your team in a meaningful cause.
Start a Business Campaign
Rally your customers and community around a cause that matters. Run a fundraising campaign through your business a percentage of sales, a customer donation match, or a themed promotion and help us reach more cancer patients in treatment.
Volunteer With Us
Our volunteers are the heart of everything we do. From assembling baskets to helping at events, there’s a role for every skill set and schedule. Whether you have an afternoon or a commitment to give regularly, your time makes a real difference. Roles include: basket assembly days, event support, social media and marketing help, administrative and organizational support.
Host a Round-Up Campaign
A Round-Up Campaign is one of the simplest ways to raise money for a cause you care about. Ask your customers to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar at checkout those small amounts add up to something big. Perfect for restaurants and retail shops, service-based businesses, and any point-of-sale transaction. All proceeds go directly toward funding comfort baskets for cancer patients.
Host a Community Fundraiser
Have a great idea for a fundraiser? We’d love to support you in bringing it to life. From bake sales to trivia nights, community fundraisers are a fun and meaningful way to raise money and awareness for cancer patients in your community. Past community fundraisers have included: bake sales and craft fairs, trivia and game nights, garage sales, sports tournaments.
Walk for Comfort
The Walk for Comfort is our signature community event a walk that brings people together in honour of those touched by cancer. Participants gather pledges from friends and family, and all funds raised go directly toward comfort baskets for patients in treatment. Whether you walk, cheer from the sidelines, or sponsor a walker, every step counts.
Join the Comfort Basket Challenge
The Comfort Basket Challenge is a social fundraising campaign where participants challenge their networks to donate toward sponsoring a comfort basket. It’s fun, shareable, and it works. How it works: (1) Accept the challenge or nominate yourself, (2) Share your fundraising link on social media, (3) Challenge three friends to do the same, (4) Every $50 raised sponsors one complete comfort basket.
Organize an Item Drive
Gather your community your workplace, school, faith group, or neighbourhood and collect the items we need most to fill our comfort baskets. Item drives are easy to organize and make a tangible, direct impact. Most-needed items include: travel-size toiletries, lip balm and dry skin care, soft socks and cozy blankets, puzzle books and journals, herbal teas and light snacks, reusable water bottles.
Plan a School Fundraiser
Schools are incredible fundraising communities. Whether it’s a spirit week, a penny drive, a bake sale, or a student-led campaign, involving young people in giving back teaches empathy, compassion, and the power of community. We’ll provide everything your school needs to get started \\u2014 materials, ideas, and our full support.
Create a Celebration Fundraiser
Turn a milestone moment into a meaningful gift. At the wedding instead of traditional gifts, ask your guests to donate to the Glen Adnam Cancer Comfort Basket Foundation in honour of your birthday, anniversary, wedding, retirement, or any other celebration. It’s a beautiful way to mark a special occasion while giving back to those who need it most.
Make a Memorial or Tribute Gift
Honour the memory of a loved one or celebrate someone special with a gift that helps others. A memorial or tribute donation to the Foundation ensures that their name lives on through acts of comfort and kindness for cancer patients. We’ll provide a card or acknowledgement for your records, and families of the honoured will receive a notification of your thoughtfulness.
Donate a Professional Service
