More than a basket: From 48 Comfort Bags to Something Bigger: How a Community Came Together

When I first imagined this foundation, I hoped we could make 50 comfort bags. By the end of September 2026, we had completed 48. Each one represented a real person who could receive a little extra comfort.

Why This Matters

Starting a nonprofit takes far more than filling bags. There are budgets, meetings, paperwork, donations, supplies and hospital relationships to coordinate.

The Heart Behind It

Businesses, individuals, family members and volunteers have all helped us take steps forward. Our work with healthcare teams in Weyburn and Estevan is helping us plan thoughtful deliveries.

Moving Forward

Those first 48 bags were not the finish line. They were proof that a small community can create something meaningful when people show up together.
