Foundation Launch
From Kennedy Tessier, Founder
Today, I’m deeply honoured to share that the Glen Adnam Cancer Comfort Basket Foundation is officially launching. This foundation was created in memory of my dad, Glen, whose warmth, humour, and gentle strength carried our family through his cancer journey. In the hardest moments, it was the small acts of kindness — a thoughtful gift, a warm blanket, a favourite snack, a handwritten note — that reminded us we weren’t alone.
Those moments are the heart of this foundation. Our mission is simple but meaningful: to deliver comfort baskets to cancer patients and their families, offering a touch of care, relief, and encouragement when life feels overwhelming. Each basket is a way of saying, “We see you. You matter. You don’t have to carry this alone.”
As we begin, we’ll be working closely with local hospitals, cancer centres, and community organizations here in Canada to reach people who could use a little extra comfort. Over time, I hope to grow this work so that more families, in more places, can feel the love that’s behind every basket.
This foundation is my way of honouring my dad’s memory and carrying forward the kindness he showed to others. If you knew Glen, you know how much he believed in looking out for people and finding light even in difficult days. I see that same spirit in everyone who has already reached out with support, encouragement, and offers to help.
Thank you for being part of this beginning. Whether you donate, volunteer, share our story, or simply keep us in your thoughts, you are part of the Glen Adnam Cancer Comfort Basket Foundation family.
With gratitude,
Kennedy Tessier
