When someone is facing cancer, there are so many things happening at once. Appointments, treatments, travel, waiting rooms, uncertainty, exhaustion, and emotions that can change from one hour to the next.
A comfort basket cannot take any of that away.
But it can remind someone that they are not walking through it alone.
That is the heart behind every Glen Adnam Cancer Comfort Basket.
Our baskets are thoughtfully filled with simple items that can make difficult days a little easier — fuzzy socks, blankets, unscented lotion, lip balm, journals, activities, candies, games, and other comforting items.
None of these things seem enormous on their own. But when they are placed together with care and given to someone during one of the hardest seasons of their life, they mean something more.
They say:
Someone thought about you.
Someone cares about what you are going through.
Someone wanted to make today a little softer.
Our mission is to bring comfort, dignity, and encouragement to individuals and families affected by cancer throughout Saskatchewan.
Sometimes making a difference starts with something as simple as a basket filled with kindness.
