About the Glen Adnam Cancer Comfort Basket Foundation

The Glen Adnam Cancer Comfort Basket Foundation was created in loving memory of Glen Adnam and in honour of every individual and family walking through a cancer journey. Our goal is simple but deeply felt: to offer comfort, connection, and a reminder that even on the hardest days, you are not alone.

Remembering Glen

Glen Adnam was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and the kind of person who made everyone around him feel welcome. He had a heart for helping others, a quick sense of humor, and a quiet strength that carried him through life’s challenges. Whether he was spending time with family, lending a helping hand, or sharing a laugh, Glen made people feel valued and cared for.

In 2019, Glen was diagnosed with tonsil squamous cell carcinoma. Despite his quiet strength, the cancer spread to his bones and liver, and his journey through treatment moved quickly. Through every appointment, every hard conversation, and every uncertain moment, his wife stood by his side as his rock. She supported him at every stage and held his hand as he took his final breath.

Glen’s life was defined by kindness, laughter, and love for his family and community. This foundation reflects the way he lived: always looking for ways to make others feel supported, seen, and cared for.

Kennedy’s Why

The Glen Adnam Cancer Comfort Basket Foundation was started by Glen’s daughter, Kennedy Tessier, in his memory. Kennedy walked alongside her dad and their family through his cancer journey, experiencing firsthand the fear, exhaustion, and deep love that come with watching someone you care about fight this disease.

Out of that experience grew a simple but powerful mission: to ensure that no one facing cancer feels alone. Kennedy knows what it means to sit in waiting rooms, to hold on to small moments of comfort, and to feel the difference it makes when someone reaches out with care. Through this foundation, she honours her dad by extending that same care to others.

Today, the foundation serves people across Saskatchewan, with a special focus on Southeast Saskatchewan. Each comfort basket is a reminder that there is a community behind you — people who understand, who have been there, and who want to help carry a small part of the weight.

Our motto guides everything we do: “You are not alone.” Whether you are a patient, a caregiver, a family member, or a friend, we hope you feel the warmth, compassion, and solidarity that Glen inspired and Kennedy continues to share through this work.
